In talking to one of my early friends on the list....4 x graph paper came up as a tip I haven't shared. I carry this graph paper in my purse (Very,Large hand bag...Ü) where ever I go. So that if an idea hits me on the noggin I can jaunt it down....draw it out....or color it in.
Her response to the matte board I'm doing;
{Oh, my! That mat is beautiful! So is your quilling! I am so glad you are back on the list. Your C-scrolls are absolutely precise! Do you have a hint for making them so perfect, or are you just a natural -born wonderful quiller?}
My response; [*NO* I am not a natural-born quiller.....I've been quilling (off and on) for 28 years....Ü]
This time there is a secret....and I will share it. The pattern I'm using was drawn up on a 4 x graph paper. 4 x meaning 4 squares per inch. So I used the graph paper as my guide to getting them as even as possible. AND a lot of patience...teeeheee.....Ü
The patience part is the time it takes to find the right length that fits the size JUST right....<BIG sigh>...teeheee.....Ü
It remains to be scene yet, whether I can actually get a matching copy of the pattern on to the board.
And here's the matte board I've been talking about....the one under $5.00, that is acid free...!!!!
It's called Victorian off white/gold foil.
Terrific find don't you think!!!!!!!.........Ü
